Arieh Down Ress, MLS
has divided his time since library school between photography and film projects, and tutorialsmithing and providing reference services. Fueled by a love of research and a passion for information dissemination, he created the Tutorialsmith YouTube channel where he posted instructional videos in his spare time. Before taking an adjunct position at NYU, he worked on the Sundance film 99%: The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film as Production Assistant, Digital Outreach Manager, Photographer and Cinematographer.
In 2015 he took a Senior Librarian position at the NYPL's Mid-Manhattan branch, and has since moved to the Science, Industry and Business branch when Mid-Manhattan closed for some much needed renovations.
His OSRADIS YouTube channel houses videos from a wide variety of events one of which was voted #1 by G4's Attack of the Show in 2009.
Skilled in research and the written word, Ress has spent the last few years working on several investigative pieces and short fiction for publication.
